Lora Malakoff
Oil Painter
Lora Malakoff began painting in watercolors at 10 years old and by the time she was 13 she had fallen in love with oil painting. That is her medium, the one that sings with her muse. She moved from Alaska to Washington State in the 80s to attended the Art Institute of Seattle. Lora is the founder and Publishing Editor of the Seniors Sunset Times. Finding time to paint is a priority. She also teaches oil painting workshops, supports the local arts, and was a director on the board of the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center. Malakoff’s artwork is available at the Timothy Rossow and Associates gallery in Ocean Shores and Aldergrove Gallery in Aberdeen Washington. She is also a noted sculptress, her most well known sculpture is a 15 foot guitar at the Kurt Cobain Memorial Park in Aberdeen.
Jade Black

Jade Black resides on the coast of Washington where she finds immense inspiration in her surroundings. Born and raised in foster care in the Mojave Desert in Southern California, she finally feels at home here in the rain and trees.
Jade graduated from the Art Institute and earned her degree in Photography. She has spent her entire life creating. As a child she practiced and grew into a phenomenal realistic portrait artist mainly using charcoal and pencil. As she grew into her identity as an artist she began learning acrylic and oil paint. Graphic design was added to her repertoire soon after, however, photography quickly become not only her passion but her purpose.

Because of Jade's challenging childhood she has gained an eye and voice for bringing to life powerful emotions in her fine art portraiture. Her motivation for her work is reaching people and assisting them through all of life's traumas and strives to show the positive on the other side of negative experiences.

Tom Baker
Wood Turner
Tom Baker has been involved in woodworking for 46 years, designing and building custom homes and cabinetry. He retired from a 30-year career with the National Park Service in 2018 as Park Superintendent, and now focuses his passion on woodturning.
Tom states, “My personal philosophy of woodworking has always been to provide a 'second life' for precious timber resources as enhancements to our daily lives. I particularly enjoy fulfilling commissions, completing projects that have deep personal connections to my customers.”
Tom enjoys foraging in the Pacific Northwest for much of the wood he uses in creating his wood-turned art. He strives to use wood species, grains, and figures that are uniquely intriguing in rustic yet elegant finished pieces.
His work has been shown in the 2020 & 2021 American Association of Woodturners' annual symposia, and Best of Category and First Place awards for Driftwood Woodturnings and Sculpture.
A member of the American Association of Woodturners since the early 1990s. He is also a member of Associated Arts of Ocean Shores.
